Dr Pappie Majuba is a Director of Right to Care and is the organisation’s Chief Medical Officer. Pappie joined Right to Care in 2004 and, in eight years with the organisation, has been promoted four times.
Pappie worked in private practice for ten years before joining Right to Care. Through his experience working in partnerships with government departments, he developed skills in dealing with the public sector. In 2004, he joined Right to Care as a medical officer.
He was promoted to Clinical Advisor: VCT (2006), then Medical Manager of Themba Lethu Clinic (2007), Gauteng Provincial Manager (2009), Chief Medical Officer (2011), and Director (2012).
He has six academic qualifications. They are BSc (University of KwaZulu Natal), BSc Honours (Wits), MBBch (Medunsa), Diploma in HIV Management (College of Medicine), Diploma in Occupational Health and Medicine (Pretoria University), and a Certificate in Advanced Management (Manchester University, through FPD).
