Kate Bistline (NGO partnerships)Kate Bistline joined Right to Care’ in May 2007 and took up the position of Programme and Evaluation Manager: NGO.
Kate brought to Right to Care a wealth of theoretical and practical knowledge gained from multiple countries and cultures. In 1997, from Indiana University, Kate earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, with majors in Economics, Political Science, and Near Eastern Languages & Cultures (Arabic). In 2001, from Princeton University, she was awarded a Masters in Public Affairs, with certificate in demography.
Her first job was as a disease intervention specialist, working for the Department of Health in the USA, doing pre-and post-test HIV counseling, and contact tracing and notification. Her work experience comprises:

  • 9 years in international NGO sector
  • 11 years in reproductive health and HIV/AIDS
  • 6 years in programme monitoring and evaluation
  • 4 years in management of PEPFAR/USAID projects

Kate has experience of multiple cultures, having worked in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Iran, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Zambia, Botswana, Lesotho, South Africa, and Mozambique.
Kate has an interest in NGO organizational development; USAID grant compliance and management; HIV/AIDS socio-economic impact; demography; and programme evaluation and monitoring.
