This is an accessibility statement from RIGHT TO CARE.


Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Right to care.org is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. (Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standards.)

Additional accessibility considerations

We have provided skip links to the navigation and main areas as well as buttons to increase color contrast and font sizes on the left side of all screens with the exception of smaller screens.

If this is your first visit to our website, you will encounter a link at the top of the website that closes the coronavirus banner. Your screen reader will identify the link by announcing “x link” or “link X”. Once you press enter on this link, the banner will no longer be on the page.


We have provided two skip links on the top of your page for keyboard users of the website.

Your screen reader will announce skip link once it receive focus from your keyboard.

The first link, skip to main content, can be used to skip directly to the main content of each page.

The second link, skip to navigation, will move focus to the main menu at the top of each page.


There are also two toggle buttons that will turn high colour contrast on and off and will increase the font size across the website for easier reading.

All meaningful images on the website, has alternative text associated and in the case of decorative images, was marked as decorative.
